Before joining Good School Learning Hub, I faced difficulties in learning the subject because I was unsure of the methods used to solve the questions, and I had never done a recap or overview of the subject. I always believed that math came naturally to me, as I managed to cope with it and consistently earned A2 grades before joining GSLH. However, as I approached Sec. 3, I found myself struggling to keep up.

Upon joining GSLH Kovan for Secondary A Math lessons, I quickly grasped concepts and methods, realizing that there's a systematic approach to studying math, one that doesn't necessarily rely on natural talent. The methods taught were incredibly foolproof, far superior to those used in school, and they simplified math greatly. Additionally, my tutor, Mr. Zhang, motivated us by sharing his life stories, especially during Sec. 4, encouraging us to always do our best. His stories made me eagerly anticipate each lesson.

Overall, GSLH must have been the best tuition centre I've ever attended. I consistently achieved A1 grades for Additional Math, occasionally A2, and ultimately secured an A2 in O level.

In math, I consistently struggled with carelessness, which led to a lack of motivation for extensive practice. This tendency was glaringly reflected in my mid-year results, where I obtained an E8. To add on, I often forgot mathematical formulas, a significant and crucial component of math in general.

 

However, when I joined Good School for Secondary E Math lessons, my tutor at the Tampines branch provided abundant practice materials and conducted thorough reviews with us. Because of this, my tutor really enhanced my understanding on certain fundamentals and basics of mathematical concepts. An example of which is her effective method of teaching mensuration formulas. Instead of memorising these formulas directly from the textbook, Ms Grace demonstrated and elucidated the logical reasoning behind each formula and why it was created as such. Not to mention, her willingness to address queries even beyond scheduled curriculum time undoubtedly and greatly contributed to my progress. In just 5 months, I improved from an E8 to a B3 in my O’ Levels.

I would highly recommend Good School to those who seek educated tutors who will provide the best quality education for their future endeavors.

As someone who struggled with math throughout my academic life, I often found myself confused by what the teacher taught in school, which eventually led to a lack of motivation to excel in math. I was unable to clarify my doubts in a big classroom environment and scored many U (ungraded) during my lower secondary exams and tests. However, the Secondary Math lessons at Good School provided me with the opportunity to clarify my doubts in a smaller class setting. I felt more comfortable answering questions and was able to catch up with what was being taught in school.

 

My tutor at the Tampines branch, Mr. Lee, was very clear on the steps needed to reach the answers and provided easy strategies for certain topics, which allowed me to grasp concepts quickly and find math easier and more exciting to learn. Additionally, I could ask questions through WhatsApp about both my tuition homework and schoolwork. The classroom environment was very conducive, with a cooling atmosphere that greatly helped me learn comfortably. As a result, I scored a B4 for math in my N-Levels. I am thankful for the help I received and do not regret joining Good School. I highly recommend it because I find this tuition to be effective and fruitful.

For me, understanding complex mathematical concepts, deciphering problem statements, and applying appropriate problem-solving strategies was daunting. Insufficient practice and ineffective study habits also hindered my ability to tackle mathematical problems effectively, hence hindering my progress. My grades for E math fluctuated from A1 to B3. For A math, I scored D7 for my prelims and was struggling to pass the subject.

Upon joining Secondary E Math and A Math lessons at Good School Kovan, I learnt about the SMART model. The SMART model played a pivotal role in my improvement in mathematics by providing structured guidance, clear explanations, and valuable insights. Mr Zhang's emphasis on simplified formulas and real-world examples helped me see the relevance of mathematics in everyday life, enhancing my appreciation and understanding for the subject. He helped me to gain an appreciation and understanding for the subject. Mr Zhang's constructive feedback and individualized attention allowed me to identify and address my weaknesses, while his encouragement of collaborative learning fostered a sense of camaraderie among classmates, enabling us to learn from each other's insights and approaches.

 

I managed to remain consistent for E Math thanks to the myriad of practices Mr Zhang gives weekly and him promptly clarifying our doubts. While for A Math, I had a 4 grade improvement, scoring B3 for my A Math O level. I would recommend GSLH to my juniors as Mr Zhang is not only efficient in teaching, but also humorous and will engage students during his lessons. He also  breaks down formulas so that we actually learn and not blindly memorise, allowing us to seriously understand A Math which is not that hard. :)

I maintained my score of an AL2 for PSLE Math.

The tutor, Mr Zhang, taught us in a very fun way and I enjoyed the Primary Math lessons at Good School (Tampines) more than the other tuitions I went to before.

I went from a total AL19 in prelim to a total AL10 in PSLE, which is a 9-grade improvement so it was good. I would recommend other people to join Good School because I think they will too like the lessons taught by Mr Zhang.
